On the date of Oct 8th 2011 I was landing in one of the smaller landing field (Newberg, Oregon) with lots of obstacles at a slightly downhill slope and no head wind that day. The mistake I made (as you can see from my video here at 47 second and photo in the below link) was that my left hand accidentally hit the side wire when I was transitioning from basetube to downtube on final. It shifted the glider into making an immediate right turn that aimed towards the tree with no time for correction. It forced me to flare HARD the second before the impact. Luckily, I didn't damage the tree or my glider, although I did feel the leaves hitting my face.
