Morton WA Tow - Got Rope?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo_GaaRcm0M

Aerotow experience - On tow, early on, pilots hand shot out with warning, unexpected issue with tow plane, signaling me to release, as the rope was delivered to me, wow! - Quick turn back - Things happen real fast on tow, always watch the tow plane and tow pilots signals - be ready for anything. If it hasn't happened yet, it could on your next tow.

School me on this one. I saw a good recovery and landing.

If the objective of the flight were to have a good recovery and landing it would've been a totally awesome performance.

If the objective had been to survive an encounter with a monster thermal at about the max altitude he was able to attain things might not have turned out all that great.

I always thought that one of the unwritten goals of a good tow was to be dropped off into a monster thermal at max altitude.
